It was 1919 and having got his dispatches orders he was thrilled to be going home so popped home to say hello to his mom and dad but made his way then to the local fair which just happened to be only a few streets away so off he went and spent his discharge money shooting ducks in the penny arcade.
Which is understandable but then he spotted a real good looker leaning over her penny farthing bike and had her ankle length skirt caught
caught in the chain and she seemed to be quite cross by this and was using cuss words such as Bloody and Bleeder.
It was love at first sight so he untangled the chain and asked very politely if he could walk her home.
