This happened in May 1917 If I remember rightly I was in France fighting on the right side and I went in pub and gaffer came over to me and said " You cant come in here without one of your shoes on " I said I lost it " He said Don't you know where it is? I said No I lost it the same time I lost my leg fighting for you buggers" LOL! rotflmao
